We invite you to be a Friend of the Old Ship Meeting House

The Friends of the Old Ship Meeting House is a non-sectarian charitable trust established to receive tax-exempt funds from public and private sources for the preservation of this historic building. Built by the people of Hingham, Massachusetts in 1681, the Old Ship Meeting House is the oldest wooden building in continuing ecclesiastical use in the nation and the only surviving First Period New England Meeting House.

It is the Friends’ mission to preserve Old Ship so that those who come after us can enjoy, take pride in, and learn from this historic structure that holds a significant place in American history. Please consider making a contribution of any amount to help fund the maintenance and repair of this unique landmark.

Thank you for your support!
